In today's digital era, the proliferation of misinformation and disinformation poses a significant challenge to society. This paper explores the importance of media literacy as a vital tool for navigating the complex landscape of information dissemination. Focusing on the prevalence of misinformation, the paper examines strategies to enhance audience discernment and critical thinking skills. By investigating the impact of misinformation on various aspects of society, including politics, health, and culture, this study underscores the urgency of media literacy education. Furthermore, it evaluates existing frameworks and initiatives aimed at promoting media literacy and proposes recommendations for enhancing their efficacy.
