This article examines the role of good governance in promoting a sustainable blue economy within Pakistan's coastal islands, such as those in the Arabian Sea. It highlights the unique challenges faced by these regions, including overfishing, coastal erosion, and pollution, which threaten both marine biodiversity and the livelihoods of local communities. The study emphasizes the importance of governance principles such as transparency, stakeholder engagement, and adaptive management in managing marine resources effectively. Through case studies from various coastal areas in Pakistan, the research identifies successful governance practices that have led to sustainable fisheries, eco-tourism, and marine conservation efforts. The findings illustrate that robust governance frameworks can enhance community resilience, ensure equitable access to marine resources, and promote economic development while preserving environmental integrity.
