Abstract

This study examines how media in Pakistan frames the issue of women's safety in public transport, with a focus on sexual harassment cases. Through a media discourse analysis, it explores the narratives, language, and framing techniques used by media outlets to portray incidents of harassment, as well as the broader societal and cultural implications of these portrayals. The analysis reveals how media shapes public perceptions of gender-based violence in public spaces and highlights the challenges women face in accessing safe transportation. It also considers the role of media in influencing policy and societal attitudes toward women's safety.
