Journal of Media Horizons [JMH] ISSN (e) 2710-4060 (p) 2710-4052,  is an open-access, peer reviewed refereed journal published quarterly since 2020.

The JMH is published by the Institute for Excellence in Education and Research (IEER), duly registered with the Securities and Exchange Commission of Pakistan (SECP) under registration number 0224595.

The respective authors hold copyrights of all content published in the journal.

JMH is an international open access journal dedicated to a wide variety of basic and applied research in communication and its related fields. It aims at providing a research forum on the social and cultural relevance of media processes.

JMH is concerned with the social development and contemporary transformation of media and critically reflects on their interdependence with global, individual, media, digital, economic and visual processes of change and innovation. Contributions ponder the social, ethical, and cultural conditions, meanings and consequences of media, the public sphere and organizational as well as interpersonal communication and their complex interrelationships. The journal focuses on the application and advancement of qualitative and quantitative methods of media research, but also encourages scholars to submit manuscripts that introduce innovative and alternative theoretical perspectives.

JMH presents up-to-date international research results stressing, but not being restricted to, topics of media and professionalism in public communication, mass media and politics, participatory communication processes, systems and cultures. It is open to proposals for special issues, commentaries, book reviews and extended review essays.

 

FOCUS AND SCOPE

JOURNAL OF MEDIA HORIZONS (JMH) seeks to reflect a variety of intellectual traditions in the communication field to promote debate and dialogue. We encourage empirical, theoretical and methodological research papers contributing to the advancement of communication sciences as an interdisciplinary field. Original papers based on systematic reviews, meta-analysis and synthesis from diverse sources are welcomed. To advance indigenizing communication knowledge, Journal of Media horizons accepts papers in Urdu and English languages with an abstract in English.
